Our Mission

Motier invests for the long term: we stand by our companies, enable them to grow in France and beyond, and support ventures that aim high, break new ground and create enduring value.

We champion French know-how, celebrating its creativity, aesthetic sensibility, taste, design and timeless elegance. Our singular vision of excellence, steadfast commitment and bold ambition infuse everything we do—on Paris’s Grands Boulevards and online, on main streets in provincial towns and world-class metropolises, in storied wine-growing terroirs and at the vanguard of technology.

We draw our inspiration from the pioneering values that guided Galeries Lafayette’s founders in the 19th century, strength from our family’s enduring entrepreneurial legacy, and momentum from our portfolio of iconic brands and landmark retail destinations.

Motier is a group of builders: initiative and audacity run deep in our DNA, we invest responsibly and for the long term, and we provide strategic guidance through an extensive network of professionals. And we actively support our companies in their commitment to sound corporate governance, social responsibility and the environmental transition.
